[glow=black,2,300]Scorpionstar[/glow] [glow=gold,2,300]Unlike most scorpions, I strike without warning, and the stars have chosen me [/glow] Light filtered through the trees. The sun had been up for awhile now, and it was almost mid day. There was a nice coolin breeze traveling through the thinned forest. A lone cat could be see in a tree stalking a family of robins. His golden medium sized fur gleamed in the sunlight before he walked under an over hanging branches. The leaves of the maple tree covered him in shade, and as he krept towards the clueless birds his eyes shone with his predatory intent. He crouched low and made sure his footing was as it should be, and then he jumped on the nest trapping the family of three birds. He swiftly killed them. Satisfied with his catch he cleaed his paws and occasionally rubbed it across his gloden mane.
Scorpionstar was a very calm and relaxed leader. He enjoyed mornings like these more than the call of battle. Of course he was best at battling, but his hunting was nothing to cast aside. He surveyed his territory from the high branches. For now all looked clear. His amber eyes carefully searched throughthe trees for the rest of the patrol. For the moment it seemed like they were all busy.He licked his paws again and settled down to lay in the sun his fur gleaming brighter. If you listened closely you could hear him purring quietly in a content way.

< < E a g l e s t r i k e > > A burly gray tom trotted lightly but silently through his forest of maples, oaks, and the occasional pine tree, completely at ease in his current biome - FireClan's territory. The sun shown brightly over head, and a cool breeze cut the heat of an early greenleaf day. A limp squirrel and a mouse dangled from his maw as he sought his leader and the rest of the hunting patrol. He had another stash of prey hidden under the foliage, safe from predators. It was safe to say that the patrol of four cats had killed enough prey for the Clan.
His amber eyes scanning the foliage for signs of another cat, Eaglestrike thought he saw a glint of gold ahead. Putting down his catch, he opened his jaw a little and let the wind find the scent gland in his mouth. Sure enough, it was his leader, Scorpionstar. Unsure if the leader would be hunting or not, Eaglestrike decided that the best thing to do was to pick up his prey and trot energetically towards Scorpionstar, tail in the air. That way, he could be heard by a cat intent on his prey, but not loud enough to startle the prey.
He had a happy life in FireClan, and he respected his leader as a kind, intelligent cat that always knew what to do. Eaglestrike had often seen what happens to cats that get on the bad side of the leader, and he had, just as often, told himself that he should do everything he can to stay on Scorpionstar's good side. With his personality, that wouldn't be a problem, but better to be safe than sorry.
As the greenery slowly dwindled away to a clearing, Eaglestrike could see his leader stretched out comfortably in a tree. Mewing a greeting, he slowed down to a walk. He sat down, far enough away from the tree that he didn't have to crane his neck to see his leader. "I didn't see the rest of the patrol while I was hunting but I think if the two of us did this well, they were sure to do well too," he said, and then proceeded to wash behind his ears.

[glow=black,2,300]Scorpionstar[/glow] [glow=gold,2,300]Unlike most scorpions, I strike without warning, and the stars have chosen me [/glow] Scorpionstar watched as one of his warriors appeared on teh ground below. It was Eaglestrike,a decent cat and brilliant warrior. He nodded and spoke to him ."I caught a decent stash of prey myself. Its buried just next to this tree, and I just caught three more robins to top it off. We shall eat well tonight." He wipped his paw against his face again to finish cleaning his face. Then he began to climb down the robins clenched in his strong jaws. When he reached teh bottom he lay them at his paws. "They never knew I was there.Where is your catch, and the others are still hunting so we shall relax until they catch up."Then he uncovered his catch and added the birds to it, and covered it again. Then he sat down under the shade of the tree ."Its such a lovely day".
